During the General Meeting of 27 May, Anouk Mertens (48) was officially appointed as a director of Mediahuis NV. Anouk succeeds Robert Ceuppens, who has been a member of the Board of Directors (for dutch supervisory board members) of Mediahuis since its foundation in 2014.

The career of Anouk Mertens started in 1998 and largely took place in the media sector. From 2006 to 2015, she held managerial positions at Telenet and Sanoma in Belgium. In 2015, she launched ELEVEN Sports Belgium and became Managing Director of the media company that manages several sports-related television channels. Since then, she has been promoted to COO of the international ELEVEN Sports Group and most recently became the ELEVEN Group Head of Studios. In 2019, Anouk Mertens launched NEO Studios, a renowned production studio and subsidiary of ELEVEN Sports, where she holds the position of Global CEO. Anouk is also a director of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF).
